Meet Ziva! This gorgeous 3-year-old, 80-pound Rottweiler is ready to find her forever home. Ziva's world was turned upside down when her owner sadly passed away, and she found herself living outside for weeks, relying on the kindness of neighbors for food and company. Thankfully, she's now in a loving foster home and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, all set for her new adventure! Ziva is a "slow burn" kind of girl – she needs patience and time to feel safe and comfortable, but the rewards of earning her trust are immense.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for a gradual introduction. While she can potentially live with another dog with a very slow and careful introduction, she would be happiest as the sole dog. Ziva is cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats, showing curiosity but no aggression. However, due to her need to warm up and her sensitivities, a home without children is strongly preferred.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Ziva has moderate to high energy and loves walks and playtime, but also enjoys relaxing. She's a puller on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. Ziva is fully potty trained and has no accidents indoors. While she sometimes uses her crate, she's not used to being confined. She exhibits resource guarding, so feeding her separately is recommended. Ziva can be reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks. She requires time to acclimate to new people and is sensitive to being petted near her ears or tail. Once she trusts you, she enjoys face pets and snuggling.
