Mavis

Mavis is a sweet girl, born around February 2024, who found herself in need of a fresh start after her owner was evicted. Despite the changes, Mavis has remained a gentle and friendly soul, especially with people. She thrives on attention and enjoys being close to her humans, showcasing a soft and loving personality once she feels comfortable. While she can be a bit reserved around unfamiliar dogs initially, she has recently learned to walk on a leash and use a crate, both of which she's doing wonderfully. Mavis would likely do well as an only dog, receiving all the love and attention, but could also adjust to a home with another dog if introductions are handled slowly, thoughtfully, and with experienced guidance. She needs a patient adopter and a calm environment to help her feel secure, and her bond with her person will grow stronger and deeper with time, blossoming into a loyal and devoted companion.

Mavis would do best in a home where she can feel secure and loved. She could be the perfect only dog or could potentially live with another dog if introductions are slow, thoughtful, and guided by someone experienced.

Mavis's adoption fee includes her spay, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Mavis is learning to walk on a leash and use a crate and is doing great with both. She just needs a little patience and a calm environment to help her adjust.
