Meet Reese — A Young Soul Ready to Belong

Reese is a 1-year-old, 59-pound Alaskan Husky with a joyful spirit and a gentle, affectionate nature. He was found on the streets of Harris County, TX, and ended up in a busy shelter. Despite his past, Reese's heart remains wide open, and he trusts people, showing he once knew love. He is excellent with people and other dogs, always eager to connect. Reese walks beautifully on leash without pulling, is treat-motivated, and already knows how to sit, demonstrating his intelligence and willingness to learn. He loves being touched and showered with affection, and his one adorable habit is happily jumping up to ask for more pets.

Ideal Home

Reese would do well in just about any home setting, though an active home is preferred to help meet the exercise needs typical of his breed.

Ongoing Health

Reese tested positive for heartworm, which is common for dogs from southern states, but he has already started slow-kill treatment and is recovering well. He is up to date on all vaccines and is neutered.

Training & Support

Reese is treat-motivated and eager to learn, already knowing how to sit. He does have a habit of jumping up for pets, which can be managed with guidance.
