Meet Godsey, also known as Little Girl, Birdie, and Fawn! At a year and a half and just 12 pounds, this little spitfire is spritely, joyful, and endlessly affectionate. She's a total people person who hands out kisses freely, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs too. She's currently working on crate training and settles quickly once she's tucked in. When she's had a bath, woken from a nap, or been let out of her crate, watch out for her "parkour piranha zoomies," bouncing mouth-first from floor to couch and back again!
Godsey's days have a comforting rhythm: morning walks around 6:30-7:30 am, potty breaks every few hours, meals at 9:30 am and 7:30 pm, and lights out by 10:30 pm. She's incredibly food-motivated, especially for beef liver treats, which makes training sessions a breeze. She's a little skittish on leash but gains confidence fast when her human leads with assurance. This girl thrives on stimulation – longer walks, puzzle feeders, tug-of-war, and possibly fetch!
Ideal Home
Godsey would do wonderfully in an apartment and is fine as an only dog or with a canine sibling, but she really just wants to be near her person, following you room to room and checking in constantly. Her ideal adopter is patient and warm-hearted, ready to help her gain a little weight, build her confidence, and shower her with encouragement as she learns.
