Juniper is a 2-year-old, medium-sized Italian Greyhound with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. She is looking for a stable, loving home where she can be part of the family. June is happiest when she's with her people or another dog. One minute she's chasing squeaky tennis balls or pouncing on her favorite stuffed toys, and the next she's wrestling with her foster sister or playing tug-of-war with her foster brother. She also loves her daily walks and is always ready for the next adventure. She has settled beautifully into her foster home and quickly became part of the pack. While she adjusted well, she does not enjoy being left alone for long periods, so she would do best with someone who is home often or another dog to keep her company. When you walk through the door, expect an enthusiastic greeting complete with hugs, kisses, and a happy leap into your arms. Her foster family has fallen in love with her affectionate personality, her love of snuggling, and her curiosity about everything around her. They hope to find her a home with another playful dog, people who will include her in everyday life, and plenty of time for cuddles. Ideal Home
Juniper would do best in a home where she is not left alone for long periods. She would also thrive with another dog to keep her company.
Ongoing Health
Juniper has a Grade 2 out of 6 heart murmur. Her veterinarian reports that she is otherwise healthy. With a healthy, lean diet and routine veterinary care, her prognosis is very good, and no heart-related issues are expected until much later in life, if at all. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations and is on monthly Heartgard.
Training & Support
Juniper is dog door trained and was previously trained to use potty pads. She is well-mannered around food and eager to learn. She has been socialized with other dogs through regular dog park visits and successful sleepovers.
