Fortune is a sweet, gentle Great Pyrenees mix who is looking for a patient family willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe. Once he trusts you, you'll have one of the most loyal companions you could ask for. Fortune is truly an easy dog to live with. He's fully potty trained, dog-door trained, and non-destructive when left home alone. He settles into a routine beautifully and asks for very little—just a safe place, a little patience, and someone to love.
Fortune's favorite activities include going for walks, and he's an absolute gentleman on a leash. He also loves car rides, making him the perfect road trip companion. At home, you'll often find him relaxing in the sunshine or happily patrolling the yard, always keeping an eye out for squirrels, rabbits, and other critters. When he feels safe, he loves to run and explore, so a securely fenced yard is required. Fortune enjoys being brushed, does well during baths, and settles nicely in his kennel. With his low-to-medium energy level, he's just as happy lounging around the house as he is exploring the backyard. Fortune is shy, especially around men, and needs adopters who understand that trust takes time. He'll thrive with a family that allows him to adjust at his own pace and celebrates the little victories along the way. Watching him gain confidence is incredibly rewarding. He gets along well with other dogs but should be fed separately due to mild food guarding. Fortune is not cat-friendly and would do best in a home with children 14 years or older. At a healthy 80 pounds, Fortune is ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for.
