Leo

Leo is a 10-year-old, 75 lb, neutered male yellow Labrador Retriever. He was found as a stray and, after attempts to find his owner were unsuccessful, he came to us from Bradshaw Animal Shelter. Leo is a friendly guy with a wagging tail who enjoys human companionship and playing with squeaky toys. He seems to be doing well with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Leo would benefit from an adopter with a backyard where he can relax in the sunshine and grass. He would also love for his people to be home a lot.

Ongoing Health

Leo has end-stage Progressive Retinal Atrophy, meaning his vision is significantly reduced to light perception and some hand motion in lighted conditions, and he is night blind.

Training & Support

Leo knows how to sit, shake, and lie down, and he comes when called. He is working on "stay" and is potty and crate trained. He is also learning to use a doggie door and walks nicely on a leash. While he may bump into things, he is able to navigate his surroundings efficiently once he gets his bearings.
