Meet Miss Penny! You know those people who walk into a room and instantly become the life of the party? That's Penny... except she's a dog, and somehow she's even better. Penny made quite the first impression. A Good Samaritan was dropping his kids off at daycare when this sweet girl climbed right into an open car seat and decided she was coming along for the adventure. She happily rode around with him until he could bring her to the shelter. Now it's time for Penny to find her forever home.

At around 3 years old and 35 pounds, Penny is the perfect mix of goofy, affectionate, and completely convinced that personal space is optional. She wants to be involved in everything you're doing—folding laundry? She's supervising. Watching TV? She's cuddling. Cooking dinner? She's your emotional support taste tester (or at least she'd like to be). She has the kind of smile that shows all her teeth with the biggest underbite, zoomies that deserve their own soundtrack, and enough enthusiasm to turn even your worst day into a good one.

Ideal Home

Ongoing Health

Penny came to us a little underweight with some missing fur around her neck from neglect, but she's healing beautifully and proving every single day that her heart is even bigger than her personality.

Training & Support

Penny can be selective with other dogs. But let's be honest... with a character like Penny, she'll happily keep you entertained all by herself.
