Cowboy

Cowboy is a brave 2-year-old survivor with a heart full of resilience. He endured unimaginable cruelty, being used as a bait dog and then abandoned. Despite his past trauma, Cowboy is now safe and receiving the medical care he needs. He's neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and has begun treatment for heartworm. Cowboy is cautious with other dogs and may do best as the only pet in the home. He can be a little hesitant with men, but with time and patience, he'll learn to trust again. Cowboy deserves a loving and secure home where he can finally feel safe and cherished.

Ideal Home

Cowboy may do best as an only dog, where he can relax without any potential triggers. He needs a home where he can take his time to warm up, especially to men, and where he will never have to fear being hurt or abandoned again.

Ongoing Health

Cowboy is heartworm positive but has already begun treatment and is on the path to recovery. He has received necessary medical care including being neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Cowboy may need time and gentle encouragement to build trust, particularly with men. He deserves a patient and understanding family who can help him feel secure.
