Micaela is a beautiful 2-year-old Husky mix who has been through so much in her young life. She arrived at the shelter in pain, with a fractured jaw, significant misalignment, and bleeding gums. Her story is one of resilience and hope, as she has undergone extensive dental work to relieve her pain and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm. Despite her past hardships, Micaela is a gentle and grateful soul who leans into affection and watches her caregivers with soft, loving eyes. She is now ready to find her forever home, where she will be cherished and never have to endure pain or neglect again.

Micaela is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. She has had a full dental cleaning and removal of damaged teeth due to old jaw fractures. She is expected to live a completely normal, pain-free life.

Micaela is learning to trust again and is showing great progress in her healing journey. Patience and gentle reassurance will be key to her continued adjustment.
