Taquita

Taquita is a fun-loving, goofy girl who is completely obsessed with water! She came to us from Ironwood, where she was dropped off at a shelter heavily pregnant. After an emergency C-section to deliver her nine puppies, Taquita is now ready to find her forever loving home. Her magnificent, stand-up ears are always at attention, ready to detect the opening of a treat bag from miles away. She takes her "hose duty" very seriously, enjoying "biting" the stream from the garden hose, and pool days, beach trips, or rainy day puddles are her absolute paradise. Taquita gets along wonderfully with most canine friends and is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" and "come." She's eager to learn more!

Ideal Home

Taquita would thrive in a home where she can embrace her love for water, whether that's with a pool, nearby beach, or even just a good sprinkler. She needs a home without cats or chickens, as she tends to view them as play toys or creatures to chase. While she may bark at strangers initially, she warms up quickly and would make a good guard dog.

Ongoing Health

Taquita's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

Training & Support

Taquita is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" and "come." She is eager to continue her training and learn new commands. She does tend to bark at strangers, but she comes around quickly.
