Meet Flacko, an energetic and loving 8-month-old German Shepherd Dog mix who weighs around 40lbs. This handsome boy is a certified good boy who absolutely adores people and other dogs. He's eager to please and is a quick learner, making him a joy to train. Flacko has a big heart and even wants to be buddies with his foster cat, though his enthusiasm might be a bit much for some kitties. He's already proven himself to be great with his foster's 10-year-old nephew and would likely enjoy having human siblings to play with. After a fun-filled play session, Flacko loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his people, showing off his belly for rubs. He's also a huge fan of pool time and entertaining himself with his favorite toys.
Ideal Home
Flacko would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who can help him navigate the world with confidence. He enjoys playing with other dogs of various sizes and has shown to be good with children, but he is still working on his puppy manners like jumping and leash pulling, so he would need to be supervised around smaller children. While he’s enthusiastic with his dog friends, he's great at reading their cues and respecting their boundaries.

Flacko is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is house and crate trained.
Training & Support
Flacko is working on his puppy manners, including not jumping and not pulling on the leash. An experienced adopter will be key to helping him continue to learn and grow.

Transportation
Flacko is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is found. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
