REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Meet Rex, affectionately known as Rexie the Bestie! This bubbly and outgoing 68lb Black Lab mix, estimated to be born in September 2020, is an absolute favorite of our volunteers. Rex loves to play, happily sits for treats, and craves your validation that he is indeed a good boy. Be prepared for 24/7 guaranteed kisses and snuggles, as this nearly 70lb sweetheart thinks he's a lap dog!

Rex was rescued as a stray and has overcome a difficult past. He is now ready to find his forever person or people to share all his love with. He's proven himself a social butterfly at adoption events, enjoying an Astros watch party and even accompanying volunteers to a dog-friendly restaurant, patiently people-watching under the table with his best buddy.

Ideal Home

Rex is a dog who loves to be with his people. He is dog selective, friendly with females, and appreciates proper introductions with male dogs.

Ongoing Health

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is eager to please and will thrive with continued love and positive reinforcement.

Transportation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and may involve pickup locations in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for transport tracking. Please be prepared to use one of these services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on their journey.
