Melody - Beautiful Poet

Melody is a truly special 5 to 6-year-old, 60lb, golden-toned German Shepherd. She's thoughtful, observant, and incredibly intelligent, with a heart full of love to give. Melody was found to be an "out of town pet" and her foster family discovered she's quite the poet! She penned a beautiful poem expressing her desire for a loving home. Melody adores her human companions and longs for a family to share her life with. She's a fantastic walking partner and is excellent on a leash, always expressing her appreciation for affection. While she's a spirited ball player, she also cherishes quiet evenings filled with cuddles and snuggles. Melody gets along well with other animals, including horses, cows, goats, and donkeys. However, she can be selective with other dogs, generally doing better with smaller ones, and would likely thrive as the sole canine in her new home.

Ideal Home

Melody would love a home where she can explore the world by your side, enjoy walks, and have plenty of opportunities for cuddles. She would likely be happiest as the only dog in the household.

Melody is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. She is an "out of town pet" and can be brought close to your home via rescue transport, which runs once a month. This transport service is carefully managed with dedicated drivers and updates provided throughout the journey.
