Ferrari, a 3-year-old, 50-pound pup, is a wonderfully friendly and medium-energy dog who enjoys napping, sunbathing, and observing his humans go about their day. He's been reported to be friendly with dogs, cats, and children, and his foster family has observed him interacting positively with both cats and showing an affinity for children. Ferrari is generally quiet but gets excited for walks and meal times. He can experience some separation anxiety, but his foster family is actively working on this. He's a well-behaved boy who doesn't chew or damage items, and he knows how to play with his toys. Ferrari has a good grasp of basic commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and he's eager to learn more. While he's still improving his leash manners, he's making great progress. He absolutely adores car rides, hugs, and meeting new people, treating everyone like an old friend. He enjoys long hikes, though he's still learning, and he benefits from cooling attire and water when the temperature is above 80°F, happily carrying his own water in his backpack. He's also comfortable in a crate if you need to leave him for an activity. Ferrari is house-trained and crate-trained, making him a great companion for a busy family or someone who is home more often.
Ideal Home
Ferrari would thrive in a variety of home environments, whether with a busy family or someone who spends most of the day at home.
Ongoing Health
Ferrari can get overheated easily, so he'll need clothing and water when it's above 80°F.
Training & Support
Ferrari can experience separation anxiety and may cry when left alone. His foster family is working on this with him, and a calm, reassuring voice can help. He is still working on his off-leash training but is improving daily.
