Hi there! I'm Zulu, a sweet, snuggly, and incredibly goofy pup with the most captivating mismatched eyes you've ever seen! I'm a delightful mix of Husky and Pitbull, blessed with a playful and energetic spirit, yet I also know how to be calm and loving.
I'm mostly potty trained and am learning quickly to do my business outside, though I might have an occasional puppy accident. I go into my kennel willingly, especially with a tasty treat to encourage me, and I usually settle down quickly, though I might whine a little at first. Once I'm settled, I sleep soundly through the night! I'm also a quiet observer and rarely bark, which my humans really appreciate. I've mastered "sit" and have a good recall, and I'm eager to learn more in a training class, as I absolutely love attention, treats, and praise.
My puppy energy means I enjoy chewing, but I'm easily redirected to my own toys. I love walks and am working on my leash manners; I don't pull too much but sometimes get a bit zig-zaggy. My biggest motivators are treats, praise, chew toys, and quality playtime.
I currently live with three wonderful children (ages 11 months to 5 years) and I adore them! I give them sweet kisses, and they love petting me and having me follow them around. Because I'm big for my age, I'm still learning to be gentle when I get excited, and I sometimes accidentally step on or jump on them. I also live with a fantastic 9-year-old pitbull who is a great role model. We enjoy playing together and then taking naps. He's also taught me to be gentle with the kids and to respect their food.
My dream day would involve lots of play with kids and other dogs, a good walk or run, some solo chew time, fetch in the afternoon, and evenings filled with snuggles. I'm always trying to sneak into a human bed for cuddles! I'm a big fan of chew bones, squeaky toys, plush toys, ropes, and balls – really, anything I can play with! I love a healthy mix of playtime and naps, but what truly makes my tail wag is human attention!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for an active family who can keep me engaged and busy. A yard with a tall fence would be ideal, as I'm already a big pup and might get even bigger! I have a lot of love to give and need a family that can handle my enthusiasm and provide plenty of space for me to grow.
