Hermes is a handsome, large boy with the spirit of a golden retriever! He's about as social as they come and truly enjoys being a part of whatever is happening. Hermes is a smart and engaging dog who loves to play, especially with his favorite tennis ball. He's a fantastic companion for adventures, from car rides to long walks, and he's always eager to explore new sights and smells. When he's not out and about, Hermes is a happy boy who settles in nicely, often following his people around to keep them in sight. He's also a snuggle bug who enjoys quiet moments and can be content entertaining himself with a toy. Hermes is a well-mannered pup who has mastered leash walking and is happy to release his toys when asked.
Ideal Home
Hermes would do best in a home that can provide him with structure, consistent training, and plenty of engagement. While he's currently living in an apartment and managing well, his barking at hallway noises and occasional vocalizations when left alone mean that apartment living will require patience and continued training. He needs at least an hour of walking daily if he doesn't have access to a yard, and he thrives on mental stimulation like puzzle toys and durable chew toys.

Hermes is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Hermes is kennel trained and settles well in his crate. He is potty trained and has had no accidents when left alone. He responds well to redirection on walks and enjoys indoor fetch. Consistent training and a willingness to work on his barking and enrichment needs will help him thrive.
