Rufus has the kindest eyes and the sweetest scruffy face! This 2-year-old, neutered Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix is about 15 lbs and is looking for a forever family to shower with love. Rufus was abandoned and left to fend for himself for several days before a kind stranger intervened and contacted rescue. Despite his past, Rufus is incredibly sweet, trusting, and eager to be loved. He's a true "Velcro dog" who wants to be wherever you are, whether that's snuggled on the couch, following you from room to room, or resting in your lap. He's affectionate, gentle, and has a happy, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around.

Ongoing Health
Rufus is currently a little underweight and is expected to reach a healthy weight of 18-20 lbs. As a Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, he will likely require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy.
Training & Support
Rufus is crate trained and settles well. He sometimes offers gentle play nibbles, which is typical for young dogs. He is still working on house training, but this is expected to improve with a consistent routine and after being neutered.
