Tyron

Tyron is a handsome 5-year-old Chow Chow / German Shepherd mix who came to us when his previous owner’s living situation changed. He's a big boy who truly loves his walks! While Tyron isn't a big fan of a lot of physical touch, he tolerates brief brushing on his top line. He can be a bit grumbly with handling, and he was sedated at the vet for his spring shave. Tyron seems interested in playing with other dogs, and his former owner even took him to the dog park, which suggests he might be okay living with another canine companion.

Ideal Home

Tyron would do best in an adult-only home with an experienced dog-savvy family who can understand and work with his unique personality. Because Tyron needs a slow introduction to a new home, we are looking for a family within reasonable driving distance for multiple meet-and-greets.

Ongoing Health

Tyron is up-to-date on his vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworms and tick-borne diseases, is microchipped, and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Tyron needs a patient and understanding family who can help him navigate his quirks. He thrives on his walks, so daily exercise will be key to his happiness.
