Meet Tyson, the ultimate velcro sidekick! This handsome pit mix is looking for a loving home where he can bond with his person for life. Tyson is an expert cuddler, a gentle communicator, and loves to be right by your side. He's also a house and kennel pro, capable of staying for up to 9 hours, and a fantastic adventure partner with excellent off-leash recall with his trusted person. He even enjoys running alongside a bicycle! Tyson loves bones, bully sticks, and stuffed rope toys, though he still has a few puppy antics like trying to sneak small toys and enjoying a good dig.
Ideal Home
Tyson thrives on routine and structure. He may take a couple of weeks to settle in, but once he understands your routine, he's pure gold. He needs a leader who can provide consistent boundaries. He can be dog-friendly with slow, patient introductions, and previously learned to coexist with other dogs after structured training for resource guarding. While he can get overstimulated and reactive on a standard walk with distractions, he can pass them by with a confident handler giving clear direction. Tyson gets car sick, so patience is needed to help him work through his motion sickness. He also has a high metabolism, so be prepared for plenty of regular potty breaks!
Ongoing Health
Tyson's adoption fee of $425 plus MN tax covers his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip, as well as any additional medical care he may have needed while in our care.
Training & Support
Tyson is a very smart boy who listens best to a strong leader. Consistency is key to helping him be his best self. He needs clear direction on walks to manage overstimulation and reactivity. His previous resource guarding over toys has been addressed with structured training.
