Benji

Benji is a playful 3-year-old, 15lb Yorkie/Chi mix who loves a good game of fetch with his favorite squeaky toys. He's also a cuddle bug who enjoys being close to his people. Benji is generally good with other dogs, cats, and children, and he's house-trained when kept on a consistent schedule. He's also crate-trained and can wear a belly band if needed. While he enjoys walks on a harness and leash, he'd also be happy in a securely fenced yard.

Ideal Home

Benji would thrive in a home where someone is around often and he won't be left alone for long periods. His foster also requires a home that provides leadership, consistency, and structure, and is committed to continuing his training. Homes that do not meet these requirements should not apply.

Ongoing Health

Benji is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Benji can get vocal and anxious when left alone, so a home where this won't be an issue for neighbors is ideal. He benefits from routine and consistent training. Benji needs at least two weeks in his new home with only his immediate family to settle in and build trust.

Transporation

Benji is currently located in Morrisville, PA. The rescue is concentrating on local applications first due to the need for home checks and meet-and-greets with all members of the household, including other pets. They are not always able to travel far.
