Hi everyone! I'm Brutus, and I'm 105 lbs of pure love and gentle sweetness. My foster mom says I'm a great runner and hiker, always keeping pace without pulling! I love people of all ages, especially females, and would be a wonderful addition to any adventurous family.
My favorite indoor game is "keep away" with slippers or other items I can get my paws on (like laundry or plastic bottles!). I don't eat them, I just love showing off my finds and having a little fun. After a few minutes, or if you stay calm, I'll happily give them back. I absolutely adore belly rubs, chest rubs, thigh scratches, and just snuggling up next to you. And don't forget my morning smooches – I'll definitely let you know if I need more!
While I enjoy meeting friendly dogs and like playing with them, I'd probably do best as the only pup in the home to avoid any potential squabbles over my adorable, big self. I also love playing ball and gazing out the window. I'm the best emotional support and bathroom buddy you could ask for! My foster mom is sad to see me go, but she wants me to have a yard, and she's happy to help with pet-sitting whenever!
Ideal Home
A home with a yard is ideal for me! I also enjoy playing fetch and am happy to be your loyal companion during your daily adventures.
Ongoing Health
I'm a healthy boy! Just a heads-up, I do tend to drink a lot of water initially and have tried to eat things like used tissues, so please keep those out of reach. Rawhide and nylon bones are also a no-go for me.
Training & Support
I'm still learning to resist the temptation of slippers and other items, but I'll bring them to my kennel once I've had my fun. I also might try to counter surf, but a simple "no" stops me. I'm a pro at taking treats gently when asked. I’m also working on my leash manners, as I tend to pull initially, but I settle in well after a few minutes.
