Meet Lexie - Sweet Gentle Senior - Medical Care Grant Funded!

Sweet girl Lexie was found abandoned by the side of a busy street and was rescued by a kind police officer. She was missing most of her fur on her legs, but with the love and care of her foster family, she's healing beautifully and looking much better! Lexie is estimated to be around 8-10 years old and is almost blind. Despite her vision impairment, she navigates her surroundings with confidence and will happily come when you call her name. Lexie is housebroken and knows to signal at the door when she needs to go out, or she'll respond to the cue "outside." She is incredibly friendly, adores her people, and has a gentle, calm, and quiet demeanor. Lexie also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her a fantastic potential addition to many types of families.

Lexie is recovering from hair loss on her legs, but is healing well. She is nearly blind, but this doesn't slow her down!

Exciting news! Thanks to the generosity of the Petfinder Foundation, sweet Lexie has been selected for a Senior Pet Adoption Grant. Funds from this grant will be used to assist her new family with Lexie’s future medical care after she finds her forever home. Training & Support

Lexie is housebroken and responsive to potty cues.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Adopters must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old.
• A home visit may be required.
• The adoption fee is $210. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and treated for fleas.
