Lucrecia is a sweet, approximately 3-year-old, 33-pound female Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart full of love to give! She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and at first, she was understandably distrustful. After a struggle, her foster family gained her trust and discovered a playful, intelligent, and affectionate companion. Lucrecia had an injured front paw, which has been treated and healed beautifully. She enjoys playing with her foster siblings and is now safe and secure, no longer having to worry about finding food or shelter.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy an active lifestyle. Families experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and who have a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals would be ideal. A household with high tolerance, patience, and a background in dog behavior and training would also be a wonderful fit for Lucrecia.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia has received a spay/neuter certificate, vaccinations including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella, and has been dewormed. She tested negative for heartworm and her monthly preventive protection includes Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Her previous paw injury has been treated with no ongoing issues.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained. The rescue team works hard to ensure the health and emotional rehabilitation of their animals but does not have the resources to house-train each one. Patience and a commitment to further training will be essential for Lucrecia to succeed in her new home.

Transportation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for a fee of $400.00, which will be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
