About Gypsy

Gypsy is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who is a professional cuddler, toy annihilator, and aspiring lap dog all wrapped up in a 46-pound package! Her love language is 100% physical contact, and she's happiest when she's right by your side, whether that's on the couch, the bed, or directly on you. She's a sweet and affectionate barnacle who is ready to fill your life with love.

Gypsy is a very smart and well-behaved girl. She already knows "sit," "paw," and "lay down," and she's a pro at entering her crate for a treat. She sleeps through the night without any complaints and is fully potty trained. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home and knows how to communicate her needs with a polite growl when she needs some personal space. Gypsy also has a deep passion for her toys, though her love is so intense that toys often have a very brief lifespan in her presence – squeaky toys, beware!

Ideal Home

Gypsy would love a home where she can be close to her people. She's looking for a lap to call her own and someone who doesn't mind never sitting alone again.

Ongoing Health

Gypsy gets a little growly around food, so she eats her meals in her crate to ensure a peaceful dining experience. She's also working on her habit of jumping on people due to her excitement, and she sometimes does a stress spin, though she's already showing great improvement.

Training & Support

Gypsy is a quick learner and has mastered many basic commands. She is still working on her jumping-on-people habit and stress spins. She just needs a patient and loving person to help her feel safe and continue her growth. We expect all adopted dogs to enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners.
