Zuma is a spirited senior girl who is looking for a home where she can truly feel safe and cherished. She's a bit of a diva and lets it be known when she's had enough, which is exactly what happened when another dog tried to take liberties with her. Zuma made her feelings clear, and now she's hoping for a fresh start. She may be a senior, but don't let that fool you – she has plenty of playful energy! Keep her supplied with a variety of toys, and she'll happily entertain herself for hours. Zuma deserves a second chance at happiness in a loving environment where she won't have to worry about unwanted advances.

Zuma would thrive in a home where she can be the queen of her castle. She needs a space where she doesn't have to fend off other animals.

All dogs at Chicago Animal Care and Control are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Zuma is not house-trained. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended for any resident dogs after a period of decompression for Zuma.
