Lazarus "Lazzie"

Meet Lazarus, also known as Lazzie, Russie, or Laz! This handsome 3-4 year old, 50 lb. black Lab mix is a volunteer favorite. Lazzie is a calm, gentle, and quiet boy with a gorgeous, shiny coat. He loves lounging and cuddling on the bed with his canine companions and his people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and currently lives harmoniously with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie. Lazzie even enjoyed a social outing at a local bar, where he confidently made new friends and was sweet and gentle with everyone he met.

Lazzie came to us through tough circumstances, suffering from mange and a respiratory infection. Found alone in a ditch, he clearly hadn't received proper care. Thankfully, he's now healthy, strong, and as handsome as can be!

Ideal Home

Lazzie would likely do well in a home with or without other dogs. He has shown to be friendly with people and his current doggie companions are of various sizes.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He has also demonstrated confidence in social settings and is friendly with strangers.

Transporation

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Out-of-state transport is available, with pick-up locations varying by city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with third-party ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track their dog's transport using the Life360 app and will receive updates.
