Daisy Duke is a sweet but timid young dog who needs a little extra time to build trust. She can be hesitant at first, but her curiosity and desire to please shine through. When she sees a leash, she's ready for an adventure, though she might need a gentle coax to get through doorways initially. Once on a walk, her confidence grows! While she's still getting used to being handled, especially around her paws, she's a smart cookie and already responds well to cues like "sit" and "down." Daisy is fascinated by everyday objects, though she's a bit wary of umbrellas. She was initially a bit confused by toys but warmed up to playing fetch with a tennis ball. She's not a fan of squeaky toys, though! Daisy is a little shy when meeting new people but quickly shows her playful side. She's also curious about other dogs, though she can be a bit timid, often starting from a safe distance before trying to engage.
Ideal Home
Daisy would do well with children around 6 years old, on a case-by-case basis. She can also do well with other dogs, also on a dog-by-dog basis.
Ongoing Health
Daisy will need to be spayed, and her adoption will not be finalized until on or after the completion of this procedure.
Training & Support
Daisy is still working on building her confidence and may need gentle encouragement when navigating new situations or environments. She responded well to basic commands like "sit" and "down" and enjoys playing fetch. Patience and positive reinforcement will be key to helping her blossom.
