Madonna (GA)

Madonna is a 2-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix who is as sweet as can be. She is a low-energy girl who can be a bit shy, but with her gentle owner, she blossoms into a loving companion. Madonna is wonderful with women and children and enjoys the company of other dogs after slow introductions. She had a tough start, found tethered and injured, but she's ready to leave her past behind and embrace a life of love and happiness.

Ideal Home

Madonna needs a calm environment with a gentle female owner who can help her feel secure. She would do best in a home without cats, as she prefers to eat in her crate to avoid any resource guarding concerns.

Ongoing Health

Madonna had a non-cancerous mammary tumor removed, and the biopsy confirmed it was benign hyperplasia. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Training & Support

Madonna is fearful of men and quick hand movements due to past abuse. She will need continued patience and gentle reassurance to build her confidence.
