Meet Tank! He's a roughly 2-year-old sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. Tank truly believes he’s a lap dog—cuddly, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who wants to be part of everything you do, Tank’s your guy. He's a smart boy and eager to learn, with friendly "best friend" energy.

Ideal Home

Tank would do great with a family (or person) who wants an affectionate, people-loving companion, can commit to some basic training and leash practice, can follow post-treatment instructions and help keep him calm during recovery, and enjoys daily walks and helping a dog build confidence and skills.

Ongoing Health

Tank is heartworm positive and will be going through heartworm treatment. The great news is that his treatment costs will be covered, and guidance and support will be provided through the process. Heartworm treatment typically includes a period of restricted activity and calm rest.

Training & Support

Tank appears to have spent a lot of time outside and likely didn’t have much experience with a leash, collar, or harness. He’s still learning leash manners (he can pull), basic polite greetings, and general manners. The good news is Tank is super smart and responds well to guidance—he just needs someone consistent who will help him learn the ropes.
