Pretty Penny

Penny is an adorable, quirky little girl, about 18 months old. She was found in the middle of an esplanade on a busy street, terrified and huddled against a fence. We initially thought she had been spayed due to a scar on her belly, but soon discovered she was not, as she went into heat while in our care. The vet confirmed the scar was from a C-section, indicating she had at least one litter, possibly bred for her beautiful brindle coat. Despite her rough start, Penny is a resilient and loving dog who loves to sploot, a unique yoga position where she lies flat on the floor with her back legs straight out, sometimes scooting backward in a comical way! She has a special howl-coo vocalization that's quite charming. Penny is a toy destroyer, so only heavy-duty chew toys are recommended, but she'll graciously save the squeaker for you! Her markings resemble a tigress, and her beautiful brown eyes show a heart full of love.

Ideal Home

Penny would love a home with a furry friend to play with, but she'll also be happy to snuggle up with her human while you work. She's a sturdy girl despite her size and can scoot through slightly open doors to access the backyard.

Ongoing Health

Penny is heartworm negative, spayed, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Penny needs durable toys for her strong chewing habits. She's learning to trust and has started rolling onto her back to show her belly.
