Meet Momma Cherry – A Gentle Soul Waiting for Her Happy Ending!
Momma Cherry is a sweet, gentle, calm, and affectionate 4.5-year-old, 17 lb Chihuahua mix. She has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over a year, and we truly believe she deserves the beautiful ending she’s been hoping for. Cherry’s story began in a rural area of Mexicali, Mexico, where she was found struggling to survive with her puppies. She was very hungry and sick with ehrlichia, but thankfully received the care she desperately needed. Her puppies have all grown and most have found their forever families, now it’s Cherry’s turn to be chosen.
Cherry is easygoing, obedient, and well-behaved. Because of her past, she can be shy and fearful in new environments and around new people, and she needs a little time to build trust. Once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality truly shines. She would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell and feel secure. Cherry gets along well with other dogs and seems to prefer male dogs.

Cherry was treated for ehrlichia and is now healthy and ready for adoption. She is fully vetted, including being vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed, and on flea and tick prevention.
Training & Support
Cherry is described as obedient and well-behaved. She may be shy and fearful in new environments and around new people, so she will need patience and understanding as she builds trust.
