Meet Mabel! This beautiful 2 1/2-year-old Goldendoodle is looking for a new home where she can truly thrive. Her family loves her dearly, but after careful consideration for everyone's safety, they've made the heartbreaking decision to find her a home that's a better fit for her needs. With a toddler and a baby in the home, Mabel has shown discomfort around small children and has displayed food guarding behaviors. Rather than risk the situation becoming more serious, her family is doing the responsible thing by finding her a home where she can feel comfortable and successful. Mabel is a medium-sized Goldendoodle who is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, crate trained, and fully housebroken. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys going for walks and runs, loves spending time outdoors, and is equally happy curling up for a nap during the day. She does best when fed three smaller meals each day, as an empty stomach can cause her to become sick. Her current routine has worked well, with meals in the morning, late afternoon, and before bedtime. Mabel enjoys the company of adults and is a sweet companion once she feels comfortable. She can be shy around other dogs and is possessive of her food. Mabel has so many wonderful qualities, and her family is hopeful that by finding the right environment, she'll be able to enjoy the happy, relaxed life she deserves.
Ideal Home
Mabel would do best in a home with older children or adults only. She would prefer a home without other dogs, and her future family should be prepared to manage mealtimes appropriately and respect her boundary around food.
