Sadie is a sweet 3-year-old Terrier/Border Collie mix who is patiently waiting for a family that sees pets as true members. She's been with us since June 2023, but don't let her extended stay fool you - she's proven to be a remarkably calm and low-maintenance companion during her time in foster care. Sadie is the definition of "independent soul," perfectly content to keep an eye on you from a nearby cozy spot rather than being a constant shadow. She's observant, naturally alert, and would make an excellent guard or alert dog for her family.
When it's time to wind down, Sadie is a "crate queen," settling in for the night without any fuss. She's also a dream on walks, showing no pulling or chaos. As a "foodie at heart," she's highly food-motivated, making training a breeze.
Ideal Home
Sadie would do best with children ages 5 and up who can respect her independent nature. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, preferably males, as she likes to be the boss of the pack at times. Her ideal home is one that appreciates a calm, chill dog who offers loyalty without needing constant physical affection.
Ongoing Health
Sadie is heartworm positive. She is currently on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Before transport, she will receive a health certificate, exam, and fecal test less than 10 days prior to travel.
Training & Support
Sadie is already a pro at crate training and walking politely on a leash. Her food motivation makes her a joy to train.
