About Woofie

Woofie is a sweet boy who joined our rescue in the spring of 2022. He was surrendered to a shelter when he was just eight months old, and he struggled with anxiety, desperately needing to build confidence. In July of 2023, Woofie participated in the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program, where he worked on leash walking, basic obedience, and socializing with other dogs.

He has completed his time in the program and is now looking for a loving adopter to call his own. Woofie's anxiety has greatly improved, and he has done well with some other dogs after slow and proper introductions. He will need patience and love in his forever home and would benefit from ongoing training and socialization.

Ideal Home

Woofie would do best in a home without young children.

Ongoing Health

Woofie is neutered, current on vaccines and preventatives, and is microchipped.

Training & Support

Woofie would benefit from ongoing training and socialization to continue building his confidence.
