Meet Otis! This sweet and goofy 2-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is neutered, fully vaccinated, and absolutely ready to find his forever home. Otis was adopted as a puppy but sadly returned to a shelter due to a severe skin condition. Thankfully, he's been in a loving foster home and is now thriving with a beautiful, shiny coat he's very proud of! Otis is incredibly resilient and joyful, loving people with his whole heart. He's very attentive to positive reinforcement and genuinely wants to please his people.
Ideal Home
Otis would thrive in a moderately active home that also appreciates quiet snuggle sessions. He would absolutely love a doggy sibling and is great with dogs of all sizes, though he can be a little shy when meeting new friends. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he would likely do best with dog-savvy older children.
Ongoing Health
Otis has fully recovered from a severe skin condition and is now in excellent health.
Training & Support
Otis is housebroken, potty trained, and crate trained. He sleeps well in his crate overnight, especially with a Kong. He has shown no signs of separation anxiety, destruction, food aggression, or resource guarding. He is fed separately to ensure a calm environment. While he walks well on a leash, he can pull a little with excitement at the start.
