Athena, a 1-year-old Terrier mix, is a bundle of playful energy and affection, weighing in at about 35 pounds. She and her siblings were found abandoned in the woods, a tough start that she's overcoming with grace. Athena is a curious and loving pup who adores playing with other dogs and being involved in her humans' activities. She’s in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, and is ready to find her forever family.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home prepared to provide ample daily exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of appropriate chew toys. A family that understands and can guide her through typical puppy behaviors with patience and consistency will help her blossom. A home without cats would be ideal, though a cat-savvy household with slow introductions and clear boundaries might work.
Ongoing Health
Athena is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is currently in a healthy development phase.
Training & Support
Athena is a smart cookie and already knows "sit," "down," "drop it," and "come." She is still working on learning social boundaries with other dogs, especially recognizing when they're finished playing. Continued positive reinforcement training and socialization will help her mature beautifully. She is still in a chewing phase and needs redirection with appropriate chew toys.
