Willow

Willow is a resilient and loving girl who came to us in terrible condition, dehydrated, starved, and pregnant. Sadly, she lost her puppies, and an emergency spay was performed to help her heal. It was a tough road, but Willow is now recovering, gaining weight, and has blossomed into an active and affectionate companion. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and people! While her exact breed mix is unknown, she has the adorable features of a Frenchie, Boston Terrier, or Bulldog, complete with a cute pushed-in face and a tail.

Ideal Home

Willow would thrive in a home where her family can help her manage her eating habits. She needs a calm environment for meals and smaller, more frequent feedings. She also enjoys lounging around once she's settled, making her a great companion for quiet evenings.

Ongoing Health

Willow has a medical condition where her throat is very narrow, causing her to eat and drink too quickly. This can sometimes lead to her throwing up her food. She is considered a special needs dog because of this. We use a slow feeder to help, and if she can be kept calm and given smaller meals, she does much better with keeping her food down. X-rays have been done by a veterinarian to diagnose this issue.

Training & Support

Willow's primary support need is related to her eating. Keeping her calm during meals and offering smaller portions will be key to her success in keeping her food down. She is described as a wonderful, happy, and great dog once she calms down.
