Maizie is cat-friendly and coexists with felines like a dignified roommate. She prefers calm, respectful companions and is not looking for chaos or constant social pressure. Submissive or easygoing dogs are her ideal match, and she appreciates good manners, personal space, and slow intros.

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans, LA. All of their animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. Transport may be available.
