Meet Apollo! This 14-month-old pit bull mix is bursting with personality, a heart full of love, and a tail that never stops wagging. Apollo is a playful and curious boy who thrives on being close to his humans, making him the ultimate cuddle buddy with an extra dose of fun.
He enjoys the company of other dogs and spends his days joyfully playing with his foster siblings in the backyard. Toys are essential for Apollo, and playtime is one of his favorite activities, second only to snuggling up with his favorite people.
Apollo is a bright, food-motivated learner who already masters "sit" and is working on "down." He excels in training, especially with tasty treats! While he's a champion at learning, his favorite game is counter surfing, so be sure to keep those tasty treats out of reach. He's also a pro with the dog door and reliably lets you know when he needs to go outside.
A couple of things to know about Apollo's unique charm: he's a bit of an escape artist and isn't a fan of being left alone in a crate. He has a knack for breaking out of crates, only to be found later, quite pleased with himself, relaxing on the couch with a toy. He will settle down in his crate if you are in the room, as Apollo truly just wants to be with his people.
Apollo is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but his vibrant spirit and happiness are truly unstoppable.
This playful goofball turned cuddle bug is ready to find his forever home. He's looking for a family who will appreciate his energy, continue his training journey, share in his silly antics, and shower him with the love he deserves. If you're ready for a loyal, affectionate, and toy-loving companion, Apollo can't wait to meet you!
