Lily - Forever Foster wanted "Deaf"

Lily is an 8-year-old, 79-pound sweetheart who is deaf. She was adopted by her person five years ago and adored him. Tragically, her person passed away, and after struggling with unimaginable grief, his wife could no longer care for Lily. She returned to rescue, and while being fostered temporarily, she formed a deep bond with her foster family. Lily loves deeply and once she trusts you, she gives her whole heart. She follows her person everywhere, sleeps pressed against them, and always wants to be close. When Lily feels safe and happy, she has the sweetest smile that melts your heart.

Ideal Home

Lily must be the only pet in the home. She forms incredibly deep bonds with her people and struggles with separation anxiety, which can lead to barking when she feels worried, stressed, or uncertain. A quieter home would likely be ideal, perhaps with a retiree, someone who works from home, or someone willing to make a commitment to a loyal companion and help Lily feel safe.

Ongoing Health

Lily is deaf. As part of our Forever Foster Program, Road to Home Rescue will cover all approved medical expenses beyond routine wellness care for the rest of Lily's life.

Training & Support

Lily experiences separation anxiety that can be managed with commitment, consistency, structure, and support. A trainer has assessed that these issues are fixable and will be providing guidance and support to Lily's future adopter. Lily is not destructive and is house-broken.

Transportation
