Sid truly thrives when he's part of the action, whether that means playing with his doggy pals, getting showered with affection, or simply being near his favorite people. He's been incredibly sweet and affectionate, melting into anyone he meets as if he's known them forever. Sid has a wonderful balance of being playfully goofy one moment and content to snuggle up for some quality cuddle time the next. He has shown himself to be gentle and tolerant of a two-year-old's unpredictable energy, making him a potentially fantastic family dog. A unique black spot on his tail adds to his undeniable charm, like a little painter's mark of perfection!
Ideal Home
Sid would do best in a home with a playful, confident female dog who enjoys enthusiastic play but also appreciates quieter moments. However, he would also be very happy as the sole canine companion, receiving all the attention himself. He has shown great tolerance for toddler energy and would likely do well in a family environment.
Ongoing Health
Sid is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccination with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccination. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments and flea prevention. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration. He is currently on a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has tested negative for heartworm.
Training & Support
Sid has demonstrated good house manners and understands that play is an outdoor activity. He has shown a tendency to sneak snacks, so keeping food out of reach will be important. He enjoys rope toys and tug toys, and especially loves engaging in play with his people.

Sid Smitty is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A transportation surcharge of $87 applies. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
