About Princess Girl

Princess is a spirited and loving 4-year-old spayed female Terrier Pittie mix who is looking for her forever active family! She has a heart full of joy and a zest for life that was once deemed "too energetic" by a previous shelter, but we know that's just her wonderful personality shining through! Princess thrives on interaction and loves to be a part of everything her humans do. She enjoys car rides, squeaky toys, and will enthusiastically greet you with happy jumps for attention. With a gentle correction and a command like "sit," she quickly settles down to receive pets. She is a smart girl who understands how to behave when asked and is eager to please.

Ideal Home

Princess would thrive in an active home with older children, an active couple, or an active single person who can match her enthusiasm and provide her with plenty of exercise. She absolutely NEEDS a fenced yard, as she is not off-leash trained without one and she is not a good apartment dog. Due to her high energy, she would be too much for small animals. She can be the only dog or would love a doggie buddy who matches her excitement and energy level.

Ongoing Health

Princess is up-to-date on all her shots, heartworm negative, and is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Training & Support

Princess is crate trained and house-trained. She knows several commands including sit, come, stay, off, and heel for leash walking. She is an avid chewer and will need appropriate chew toys, such as KONGs and bully sticks, to keep her occupied. She will bark for attention, including to go potty and to receive affection. She understands that to be petted she must sit and not jump.
