💖 Meet Precious: Our January Rescue of the Month! 🐾

If you are looking for a miracle in fur, look no further than Precious. This stunning 50 lb Staffordshire Terrier mix is a true survivor. Despite a difficult past, she lives every day with a "heart of gold" and a wiggle that just won't quit!

Precious is officially our January Rescue of the Month! You can come meet this resilient girl in person at our Nail Trim and Microchip Fundraiser on January 17th, 2026, at Whiskers and Wags 16618 US-Hwy 280, Suite 200 Chelsea, Alabama from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM!

Precious survived being hit by a car before coming into rescue. While her back healed incorrectly and surgery isn't an option, she doesn't let it slow her down! She hops, zooms, and plays with pure joy. To help her live her best life, she just needs a few simple accommodations. She adores children! Because of her unique "hopping" gait, she might accidentally bump into tiny toddlers, so she'd love a family that can supervise her happy wiggles. She doesn't know she's "different"—she just knows she’s happy to be here.

Ideal Home

She needs rugs or runners (slick floors are tricky) and a home without many stairs. She loves a fenced yard to zoom in at her own pace, but she isn't suited for long neighborhood walks. She can overheat easily, so she’s a fan of the indoor AC life!

Ongoing Health

Her back healed incorrectly after being hit by a car, and surgery is not an option. She is spayed, crate trained, microchipped, and current on all medical.

Training & Support

She is crate trained and knows how to be a good girl indoors.
