Vaquita

Vaquita is a 3.5-year-old, 60 lb spayed female who is looking for her forever home! She's a super affectionate girl who loves to cuddle, give kisses, and receive plenty of pets. Vaquita is already housetrained and crate-trained, and while she can be left uncrated, she appreciates having a crate as a safe space when she feels overwhelmed. She enjoys playing with toys, especially balls and rope toys, and would love a family that can provide her with daily play sessions. Vaquita has done well with men, women, and older children after proper introductions and has a habit of jumping into the laps of new friends when they sit on the couch! She rides well in the car and is eager to join her family on adventures. Vaquita has learned to sit, come, roll over, and allow her paws to be dried, but nail trims are still a work in progress.

Ideal Home

Vaquita needs a home where she can be the only pet, as she has shown reactivity towards other dogs, including barking and lunging from a distance, and has postured and lunged even with proper introductions. She can easily clear a short fence, so a yard with a secure, tall fence is required, or no fence at all if she will receive exclusively on-leash exercise.

Ongoing Health

Vaquita is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Vaquita's leash skills are a work in progress and will require continued training. She needs a family dedicated to ongoing training to help her succeed.
