About Mojo

Mojo is an 8½-year-old male German Shepherd with a truly inspiring comeback story. He and his mother were found abandoned in squalid conditions, surviving by eating rats. Mojo arrived in 2024 in very poor physical shape, suffering from severe genetic hip issues that made walking painful and movement limited. After undergoing successful bilateral hip surgeries, Mojo is now living his best life! He runs with incredible energy and seems determined to make up for lost time.

Mojo is wonderful with people and thrives on human companionship. He is affectionate, gentle, and becomes a complete love sponge once he bonds with you. He also gets along well with other dogs, provided they are respectful. Due to his hip surgeries, he needs canine friends who won't body slam him. Polite dog companions are a must. For children, those over 10 who understand that dogs are not toys will be the best fit.

Mojo is not a good fit for homes with cats or any small animals. He is well-mannered, housebroken, and a pleasure to have in the home, knowing how to relax and be part of a family. Mojo requires a securely fenced yard and a home where he won't have to navigate many stairs. While he gets around well, fewer stairs would be ideal. This beautiful, sweet dog is now a happy soul.

Ideal Home

A securely fenced yard is a must. A home with minimal stairs would be ideal. He needs respectful canine companions and is best suited for homes with children over 10 who understand how to interact with dogs. He cannot live with cats or small animals.

Mojo has undergone bilateral hip surgeries.
