Buckle

Buckle and his brother were part of an unplanned litter born in a rural town we assist. Thankfully, their mother's owner surrendered them to a shelter we partner with when they were very young. One of our incredible fosters opened her home and heart, allowing us to save them. Buckle has been with us since he was just 5 weeks old and has completed all his veterinary care. Now, he's all set to find his forever person!

Buckle is a wonderfully mellow pup. He enjoys playtime but isn't hyperactive. He's nearly house-trained and is learning to do his business outside. He's also crate-trained and leash-trained. Buckle gets along famously with other dogs and has been introduced to children as young as 6. He's currently 6 months old and weighs 30 pounds. We believe he's a Hound mix, and since his mother weighs 35 pounds, he's likely to be a medium-sized adult dog.

Ideal Home

Buckle would thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle nature. He's already shown he's great with other dogs and has been comfortable around children aged 6 and up.

Ongoing Health

Buckle has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Buckle is doing great with his house training and is already crate and leash trained. Continued positive reinforcement will help him master these skills.
