Meet Skipper!

Skipper is a sporty and energetic girl looking for a home that can keep up with her zest for life! She's been with us for over two years, a testament to her resilience and developing personality. Skipper is a beautiful black and white tripod, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. Her favorite game is fetch, and she's a perfect companion for anyone who loves baseball or softball. Once she's had her fill of play, Skipper loves to snuggle up close to her people. She's learning basic commands like sit, down, and leave it, and responds well to treats and redirection for leash training, especially with a head halter. Skipper would do best as the only pet in the home, as she's not good with other dogs or cats. She might take a little time to warm up to new people, but a few treats and a game of fetch will surely win her over.

Ideal Home

Skipper would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of playtime. She would do best as the only pet in the household.

Ongoing Health

Skipper is a tripod due to a past leg injury. She has fully healed and shows no ill effects from her amputation.

Training & Support

Skipper is learning basic commands and responds well to positive reinforcement. She needs continued work on leash manners, but excels with a head halter. Skipper may need some extra time to warm up to strangers.
