Gaia is a beautiful ~7-year-old female Jindo-type dog, weighing about 33 lbs. She was rescued from a difficult situation and has blossomed with care and patience, revealing a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. Gaia is naturally cautious but warms up quickly with gentle introductions and the promise of a tasty treat. Once she trusts you, she'll be your quiet shadow, content to simply be near you. She is a calm, gentle, and emotionally steady girl who thrives in predictable environments with soft voices and kind routines. She enjoys the company of other well-mannered dogs and gains confidence from their presence.
Ideal Home
Gaia will thrive with adopters who value calm companionship, are patient and allow her to open up at her own pace, can provide a quiet, stable routine, and have another friendly, well-mannered dog (this is strongly preferred). She is not the best fit for loud, chaotic, or unpredictable households, or for families seeking a high-energy or clingy lap dog.
Ongoing Health
Gaia is overall healthy with no known medical concerns. She is kept up-to-date on preventatives (Heartgard and Frontline on the 15th of each month) and has no known allergies. She eats a balanced kibble and loves meat-based treats.
Training & Support
Gaia is very quiet, with no barking or destructive behavior. She is 100% outdoor potty trained and uses the yard if walks are missed. She is comfortable being alone for 5-6 hours and is comfortable in a kennel or enclosed space. She walks politely on leash with no pulling and is cooperative for baths, though she may tremble. She jumps easily into an SUV and may need gentle leash guidance in new places.

Transporation
Gaia is currently located in South Korea and can fly to the U.S. through our flight volunteer program once a suitable family is approved. All approved adoptions include a two-week trial and monitoring period.
