Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a 2-3 year old, 80lb male Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold! He was found in rough shape, but after months of dedicated medical care and treatment for wounds, fleas, and heartworms, he's made a full recovery and his wonderful personality is shining through. Sherpa is an intelligent and diligent dog with an independent spirit, perfect for someone who appreciates a working dog's drive. He's friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs of similar size, though he often prefers to explore or focus on a task. He's a sweet boy who aims to please, but he's still maturing and working on his social skills.

Sherpa is looking for a home where he can continue to grow and thrive. He would do well in a household that understands his independent nature and enjoys his focused personality.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has made a full recovery from his past medical issues, including heartworms. He is vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

To help Sherpa continue to develop his social skills, he has been attending Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he excels in scent work and is improving his communication. His new adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's trainers, available in-person (NYC or willing to travel) or virtually, to ensure a smooth transition.

Transporation

Sherpa is currently seeking foster placement in or around NYC. He is available for adoption locally or out-of-state, provided the adopter can travel to meet him.
